Project summary

'ICT for ATC' project is to equip the Air Training Corps in Coalville with up to date ICT equipment so that cadets can have good quality training.

Air Cadets is open to any young person aged between 13 – 19 years.

All our training is electronic now rather than paper and a lack of IT equipment seriously restricts the number of cadets who can access this training or the online exam system at any one time on our squadron nights.

With up to date ICT, our leaders could teach more cadets at a time and cadets could develop more skills and achieve more qualifications.

Better equipment for the Duke of Edinburgh awards could help more cadets have the chance to undertake the DofE award and develop their skills for leadership and work.

We achieve a lot now with our young people but with up to date ICT and equipment we could achieve so much more at 1188 Squadron. With better ICT we could:

• Have more training for cadets
• Be trained by more leaders
• Achieve more qualifications for cadets
• Develop skills for life and work for our young people and
• Offer this opportunity to more young people in the area.
