Proposed extension to Public Space Protection Order for Bins on Streets

In 2021 North West Leicestershire District Council introduced a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) to ensure that domestic waste and recycling receptacles were not left out on the highway for prolonged periods of time.

There are no additions to the areas affected by the proposed extension which are commonly known as:

  • Berrisford Street, CoalvilleNo Bins
  • Margaret Street, Coalville
  • Melbourne Street, Coalville
  • Bridge Road, Coalville
  • Adam Morris Way, Coalville
  • William Bees Road, Coalville
  • Mantle Lane, Coalville (House numbers 4-30)

This order is due to expire on the 10 August 2024 so the council are consulting with residents, the public and various authorities with a view to extend the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for Bins on Streets for a further three (3) years, until 2027.

The Council are required to carry out a period of consultation of eight (8) weeks.
