From November 5, non-essential shops, restaurants, cafes, bars etc. closed which meant that we could no longer support our local businesses as we normally would.
Our 30 Days 30 Businesses campaign, helped to raise the profiles of businesses in our local towns and villages during lockdown so that we were there to support them when they re-opened.
The campaign was supported and funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Throughout November, we asked business owners in North West Leicestershire to get in touch to explain their passion in detail and why people should choose to spend locally with them. In return, we picked a November day to shout about businesses on our social media channels. In all, we featured 30 different businesses on the 30 days of November.
Participating businesses ideally had a physical presence that people could visit while out in town or villages centres once lockdown was over. This promotion was about bringing people out to spend locally to help businesses recover, benefiting both you and the other amenities around you.
For example:
- Shops
- Pubs
- Restaurants
- Food outlets
- Cafes
- Hair salons
- Beauty salons
- Charity shops
- Market stalls
Businesses got involved by submitting at least one good-quality image, details of what their business offered and a reason to support why people should pay them a visit.
The campaign has now finished but we really enjoyed shouting about all of the different businesses that took part.
