Your landlord would have to follow the legal procedure in order to evict a tenant. They may though instigate eviction procedures if they are unhappy with the complaint. If the complaint has been passed to the Local Authority & works are required to eliminate a hazard as prescribed under the Housing Health Safety Rating System (HHSRS) the Authority will continue to insist that the works are done even if your landlord decides to evict. In most cases the landlord will prefer to continue with the tenancy rather than go to the expense of finding a new tenant & risking a period of having no rent being paid.
