Female Cancers
Some cancers only affect females and are listed below. Some trans men and non-binary people (who are born female) can also get these cancers.
Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK. Most women diagnosed with breast cancer are over the age of 50, but younger women can also get breast cancer.

Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer is a cancer that's found anywhere in the cervix. It mostly affects women under the age of 45. Anyone with a cervix can get cervical cancer. Most cervical cancers are caused by an infection from certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV). It can often be prevented by attending cervical screening, which aims to find and treat changes to cells before they turn into cancer. Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian cancer affects the ovaries. It mostly affects women over the age of 50 although it can affect anyone who has ovaries. Ovarian cancer is often diagnosed late, but early diagnosis can mean it is more treatable.
