Our Projects
Street and square improvements
We've adopted the Four Squares and Streets Plan for Coalville Town Centre based on the Regeneration Strategy for Coalville town centre, produced by the Princes Foundation for the Built Environment in partnership with the local community through an Enquiry by Design process.

The Council is currently working on implementing proposals for a £1m programme of improvements to Marlborough Square, Coalville. The project was approved by the Council's Cabinet in January 2018.
Design initiative
As part of the Council's commitment to good standards of design across the District, it runs a design initiative to recognise well designed buildings and spaces.
The Council's design intiative was first adopted in 2008 and in 2011 it won the first Public Sector Urban Design Group Award.
In September 2018, the Council will relaunch the initiative.
