Not all rough sleepers are aware that advice and support is available to them.

By telling us about someone who is sleeping rough, you will help to connect that person to the local services available.

Who to contact

The Council's Homeless Advice Team 

If you or someone you know is sleeping rough or does not have a fixed place to stay then contact the Council's Homeless Advice Team for help and advice. 

Streetlink 

Are you sleeping rough or worried about someone who is? You can help or get help by making an alert to StreetLink.

Operating in England and Wales, StreetLink is an online platform that connects people sleeping rough to local authorities and outreach teams to access the support they need. This includes anyone who is sleeping outside, preparing to bed down, or sleeping somewhere not designed for habitation, such as a car.

Other help and support

Severe weather

Extra support is available to rough sleepers or those at risk of sleeping rough in severve weather conditions in order to prevent loss of life.  The Council works with local organisations to ensure that anyone sleeping rough is offered emergency support during cold weather periods.
