In the heart of North West Leicestershire and South Derbyshire, there are hundreds of years of industrial history just waiting to be explored. In this part of the world there are villages and towns where you can still see the remains of some of the country's major industries.
From the coalmining industry in the aptly named Coalville to the restored 18th century Hough Mill and medieval coalmining site at Swannington. Search for the houses built from giant bricks at Measham or visit the impressive iron-making blast furnace at Moira.
