Set in a beautiful elevated position in Charnwood Forest, it was the first Catholic Abbey to be founded in this country after the Reformation. This is a Cistercian Monastery of white monks founded in 1835 as a continuation of Garendon Abbey (1133-1538). Includes gardens, high calvary, gift shop and Abbey Church. In 2018 the monks began brewing their own beer Tynt Meadow English Trappist Ale which is for sale in their gift shop and local outlets.

Gift Shop - Monday - Saturday, also Bank Holidays (except Christmas Day )
10am - 4.30pm (closed 12.10pm - 12.30pm and 2.10pm - 2.30pm for Office prayers)
