Polling District and Polling Station Review 2025
Every local authority is required by legislation to carry out a review of its UK Parliamentary polling districts and polling places at least once every five years. The next compulsory review has to be completed by January 2025.
Why do we need a review of polling stations?
The intention is to make sure that we have suitable polling district boundaries, which take into account the increases in population in certain areas following new development, and to make sure that wherever possible, we are offering polling stations that are in suitable premises in the best location with good access and, good transport links.
Due to the upcoming boundary changes, we will need to review these locations again in the near future, before the District and Parish Elections in 2027.
