Annual Infrastructure Funding Statements

The Infrastructure Funding Statement is a report that provides a summary of obligations the Council has secured through section 106 agreements from new developments, including off-site infrastructure works and affordable housing, within a reporting year.

This annual reporting requirement was introduced as part of the recently amended CIL regulations (The Community Infrastructure Levy (Amendment) (England)(No. 2) Regulations 2019), with the objective of increasing transparency around how developer contributions are spent on Infrastructure.

In summary, the report provides:

An overview of what s106 agreements are
The delivery and provision of infrastructure during the reporting year.
An overview of the new S106 agreements signed in the reporting year (see appendix 1)

The information included in the report will be updated annually and published on the Council’s website. This will ensure the most up to date information on the amount of developer contributions received by the Council from new developments, in addition to information on where these monies have been spent is readily available to members of the public and other interested parties.
